MARVIN FRIED

 

As Partner and Creative Director of Fried/Drake/Green and the former managing partner and Chief Creative Officer of a full-service, Boston-based advertising and public relations agency, Marvin Fried has extensive experience in building and leading highly successful teams with strong creative, strategic and tactical abilities in all disciplines of marketing communications. He is particularly skilled at developing effective strategies and communications that move products and services, modify behaviors and build long-term relationships.

With over twenty-five years of experience in advertising, design and direct marketing, Marvin built a reputation for creative excellence at such prestigious agencies as Young & Rubicam, Ogilvy & Mather and McCaffrey & McCall, all in New York; and Hill, Holliday, Cabot Communications and McKay Fried in Boston. Some of the clients who have benefited from Marvin's marriage of strategic focus and performance-based creative that cuts through the clutter include American Express, John Hancock, ASPCA, Cross Pens, Dare Foods, Merriam-Webster, Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, Nissan Infiniti, T.Rowe Price, American Cancer Society, Hartford Insurance/AARP, and Plymouth Rock Group of Companies.

 

A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York, his memberships include The Art Directors Club of New York, The Direct Marketing Association and The Advertising Club of Boston. Marketing and communications awards in his showcase include Clio, One Show, Art Directors Club of New York, Communications Arts, Effie, John Caples, Echo and Hatch.

 

JEFFREY DRAKE

 

Resident of York, Maine. Partner, Director of Client Services, Stratgic Planning.  Jeff began his career in Boston with Arnold Worldwide working on Fleet Bank during its period of broad and rapid expansion throughout the Northeast. He joined BayBank as Director of Advertising leading all advertising and direct mail initiatives for their retail lending, commercial and 24-hour sales and service groups.

 

Later he joined ReevesDrake in Boston serving as Partner/Client Services Director while growing a client roster that included Asahi, Bausch & Lomb, Converse, Danskin,

 Gold's Gym, BicSport, and Banknorth. ReevesDrake was sold to Bozell Worldwide and I became Director of Planning and New Business forBozell in Boston, as well as leading the work for  Banknorth, Hilton, and The Energy Star Label for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.  Bozell merged to Mullen as a result of the IPG and True North merger, where I continued my leadership on National EPA, Nstar, and business development.

 

Presently, he is principal of Fried/Drake/Green and is an independent brand consultant through Drake Strategic Communications.  He resides in York, Maine. He's worked for several national brands, including Uvex - World leader in safety eyewear products; Ferrite - global leader in high power microwave products; PowerPay - leading national payments firm; as well as well-known regional brands such as Cambridge College; Clair Auto Group; Waterford Development.

 

LARRY GREEN

 

Partner, Client Services; Strategic Planning. Larry is a marketing and agency veteran who has the unique perspective of seeing the business from both the agency and client side. He has big agency experience - Arnold, Ted Bates & Co.-working with clients like McDonald's, Nabisco, Mars Confectionary, Papa Gino's & Spalding Sports Worldwide to name a few. He also has small agency experience, having helped build KK&M Advertising into one of the region's largest advertising agencies.

Add to that his client side experience as VP/Director of Marketing for Mercury International Corp., one of the country's largest importers and distributors of family footwear, and you have the kind of well-rounded understanding many agencies can't offer.

 

His combination of strong, strategic marketing skills, combined with an innovative and caring mindset is what has helped him grow whatever business he's been involved with. And that will never change.
